12. MEPW: Group Efforts

Group Efforts

Members of MEPW will become part of a group of their choice. Each group will concentrate on one particular issue (see list of 12 topics in blue box at top of Home Page). The group’s first task is to make a clear statement of the people, organizations and power elements, arrangements and actions which are contributing to the problem.

Cooperation among members of the group is key. Powerful attachments are formed in cooperative groups, which can yield up many jewels of inspiration, speculation and creativity.

The group members will disestablish the dominance of the ubiquitous male voice in the process of their participation. We are trying to rescue the earth, not to rescue men from themselves. Men in the power structure are not cooperative except where it concerns aggrandizing themselves in terms of money and control. There is no indication that men intend to cooperate with women in a mutual sharing of power to save the earth. What we do has the same implications for men as for women, but they cannot be the cause of impairing our vision or judgment.
